EPMA - prescribing and administering medications
Welcome to EPMA, Nervecentre's electronic prescribing and administering system.
You need specific permissions to:

Access EPMA

View the outpatient prescription list

Prescribe and administer medications
If you haven't got access but you think you should, make sure you're logged in to the right role, and then speak to your systems administrator.

All about EPMA
To access EPMA for inpatients:

On a mobile, open EPMA from your patient list > select a patient > Chart.

On a desktop, open EPMA from Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail > Meds
To access EPMA for outpatients:

On a desktop, open EPMA from Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail > Meds.

You can't access EPMA for outpatients on a mobile.
Prescribing medications
Nervecentre makes it easy to prescribe medications with fully customisable pro-forma prescriptions called dose sentences.
For prescribing to inpatients:
For prescribing to outpatients:
Administering medications
For inpatients, you can administer and manage medications from the MAR Medicines Administration Record. Also known as drug chart. A list of all medication prescribed and administered (given)..
For outpatients, you can administer and manage medications from the outpatient prescription list.
Pharmacy actions
For inpatients, pharmacists can approve and manage medicine orders.
For outpatients, pharmacists can approve medications from the dispensary and dispense medications.
