Nervecentre V9.0 Help for Users
Adding planned medications from Outpatients
You can create a list of medications for planned inpatient visits. Before a patient is admitted as an inpatient, you add inpatient medications to a list of planned medications. When a patient is admitted as an inpatient, you can prescribe these planned medications to the patient.
For example, a patient is having a knee replacement. You know the medications a patient needs for a knee replacement. You add these medications to the list of planned medications. When the patient arrives for their knee replacement, they are admitted as an inpatient. You can then prescribe and administer the planned medications.
From Outpatients > Patient Detail > search for a patient > Meds, you can add planned medications.
You can prescribe planned medications when the patient is admitted as an inpatient. You prescribe planned medications from Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail > Meds.
