Completing the procedure record

After you send for a patient, you can start to complete the procedure record. The procedure record contains information about the planned procedure, the actual procedure, and other essential information.
The information you record in the procedure record depends on your organisation and permissions.
Completing the procedure record on a mobile
You can't do this on a mobile.
Completing the procedure record on a desktop
Completing the procedure record for a theatre admission

From Theatres > Calendar, double-click on the patient's procedure.

From Procedures > Perform, select Procedure Record.
A form appears.

Select Actual Procedure to record the procedure you performed.
A list of procedures you planned to perform appears.

Complete the form, including all mandatory fields.
Mandatory fields are marked .

From the bottom of the form, record if you completed the procedure.

To submit the procedure record, but not finalise it, select Submit.
This appears if you have not yet completed all the time points.

To finalise the submitted procedure record, select Finalise procedure record.
This appears if you submitted the procedure record, and you have now completed all the time points.

To submit and finalise the procedure record, select Submit and finalise procedure record.
This appears if all time points are complete, and the procedure is in the state 'Procedure wrap-up'.

Depending on your organisation, you might be able to mark a procedure as abandoned.
If you have completed the procedure record, but you abandoned the procedure, select Completed, Procedure abandoned.

Completing the procedure record for a non-theatre admission
Follow these steps if you performed a procedure not in theatre, or you performed a procedure in theatre but the procedure wasn't scheduled in Nervecentre.

From Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail > Procedures, double-click on a procedure.

From Procedures > Perform, select Procedure Record.
A form appears.

Select Actual Procedure to record the procedure you performed.
A list of procedures you planned to perform appears.

Complete the form, including all mandatory fields.
Mandatory fields are marked .

From the bottom of the form, record if you completed the procedure.

To submit the procedure record, but not finalise it, select Submit.
This appears if you have not yet completed all the time points.

To finalise the submitted procedure record, select Finalise procedure record.
This appears if you submitted the procedure record, and you have now completed all the time points.

To submit and finalise the procedure record, select Submit and finalise procedure record.
This appears if all time points are complete, and the procedure is in the state 'Procedure wrap-up'.
