Nervecentre V8.1 Help for Users
Referrals
Clinicians and GPs can refer a patient to a service, for example, if a patient has a skin condition they can refer the patient to a dermatology clinic.
Your organisation can receive these referrals as letters, emails, or from e-RS Electronic Referral Service. Used by GPs/patients to book initial appointments with specialists at a convenient time. This would replace the current system where a referral is made to the specialist who then sends out a letter with an appointment – if the patient can’t attend that appointment they’ll have to call back and rearrange.. If you receive a letter for a referral, you can add that referral to Nervecentre. If your organisation receives a referral by e-RS, Nervecentre automatically adds that referral.
You can acknowledge, triage, accept, decline, and redirect referrals in Nervecentre. You can also expedite referrals.
