Recording attending patients
On the day of an appointment, you can record that a patient arrived at their appointment, or that the appointment started. You can record this information after the appointment.
What you record depends on the appointment's delivery method.

For face-to-face appointments and video consultations
You can record that the patient arrived, or that an appointment started. For example, a receptionist might record that a patient arrived at the clinic for their appointment.

For telephone appointments and unattended appointments
You can record that the appointment started. For example, a clinician might record that their telephone appointment started.
You can also record that a patient Did Not Attend (DNA Did Not Attend.) their appointment.

Recording attending patients on a mobile
You can't do this on a mobile.
Recording attending patients on a desktop

Only for face-to-face appointments and video consultations. You can't do this for telephone appointments or unattended appointments.

Select a clinic and day to view.
You can do this from:

Outpatients > Calendar >

Outpatients > Clinic List
You must view appointment's that are happening today, or on a previous day.

Double-click on an appointment.
Depending on your permissions, you see the patient's demographics, and information about their appointment.
Depending on your organisation, Nervecentre might check PDS Personal Demographic Service, an NHS system. The PDS helps healthcare professionals to identify patients and match them to their health records. It also allows them to contact and communicate with patients. for information about the patient.

Select Patient arrived.

Only for face-to-face appointments and video consultations. You can't do this for telephone appointments or unattended appointments.
If you record that a patient arrived, but you realise the patient didn't actually arrive, you can update the patient's record.
To record that a patient has not arrived yet:

Select a clinic and day to view.
You can do this from:

Outpatients > Calendar >

Outpatients > Clinic List
You must view appointment's that are happening today, or on a previous day.

Double-click on an appointment.

Select Undo patient arrived.

Select Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.
Depending on your permissions, you might need to select Go to patient record.

From Patient Detail > Clinical > Referral, Appointments & Procedures, select next to the appointment name.
This takes you to the appointment in the patient's case notes.

From Case Notes, select Start Appointment.

If you record that an appointment started, but you realise the appointment hasn't started, you can update the patient's record.
To record that an appointment has not started yet:

Select Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail.
Depending on your permissions, you might need to select Go to patient record.

From Patient Detail > Clinical > Referral, Appointments & Procedures, select next to the appointment name.
This takes you to the appointment in the patient's case notes.

From Case Notes, select Undo Start Appointment.
