Nervecentre V9.0 Help for Users
Getting notifications about a patient with Patient Watch
Nervecentre Patient Watch allows you to automatically receive updates when specific information relating to an individual patient is recorded in Nervecentre. This includes admission, discharge, and transfer information. For example, the patient Ray Jones has been transferred to Ward 2 and the consultant Dr. Smith.
You are also notified when Nervecentre receives a patient's results for an investigation. For example, a full blood count, or an abdomen x-ray.
About updates Nervecentre automatically sends
Nervecentre sends you updates about patients you are watching. Nervecentre sends updates to you when:
-
The patient is admitted, transferred, or discharged
-
The patient is marked as deceased, or not deceased
-
The patient's record is merged with another patient's record
-
The merge of the patient's record with another patient's record is reverted
-
Nervecentre receives the results of an investigation for that patient
About watch groups for merged patient records
When you merge a patient record into another patient record, you have:
-
A retained patient record
This is the record you want to keep.
-
A non-retained patient record
This is the record you want to merge into the retained patient record.
When you merge two patient records, Nervecentre creates a watch group for the retained patient record that includes anyone who was watching the non-retained patient record but not already watching the retained patient record.
When you revert a merged record, Nervecentre creates a watch group for the non-retained patient record that includes anyone who is watching the retained patient record who was previously watching the non-retained patient record.
