Administering and recording outpatient medications

You can administer outpatient medications from the outpatient prescription list. You can record outpatient medications as given retrospectively, as self-administered, and as unable to give.

An outpatient medication can only be administered once.

After administering a medication, you can still request the medication be dispensed.

You can’t scan medications or patient wristbands when prescribing or administering from the outpatient prescription list.
