Confirming an outpatient medication was self-administered

You can record that a patient administered their own outpatient medication, or that a parent or carer administered an outpatient medication to the patient.

You can't do this on a mobile.

Confirming an outpatient medication was self-administered on a desktop
  1. From  Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

  2. Select next to the name of the correct appointment.

  3. Select Give for the medication you want to confirm was self-administered.

  4. Select Confirm self-administered.

  5. Enter the time given.

  6. Add notes as needed.

    If a parent or carer administered the medication to a patient, put those details in the notes.

  7. Select Submit.
