Confirming retrospectively an outpatient medication was given
If you are unable to record a medication was given at the time of administration, you can confirm retrospectively that you gave the medication.

You can't do this on a mobile.
Confirming retrospectively an outpatient medication was given on a desktop

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select next to the name of the correct appointment.

Select Give for the medication you want to confirm was administered.

Select Confirm given retrospectively.

Enter the time given.

Add notes as needed.

Select Submit.

If you are unable to record a witnessed or countersigned medication dose at the time of administration, you can retrospectively confirm that the dose was given and witnessed or countersigned.

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select next to the name of the correct appointment.

Select Give for the medication you want to confirm was administered.

Select Confirm given retrospectively.

Enter the time given.

Add notes as needed.
If you needed a witness or someone to countersign when administering the medication, in the notes put the name of the user who witnessed or countersigned you giving the medication.

Select Submit.
