Recording an outpatient medication as not given
You can record that you were unable to administer an outpatient medication.
Recording an outpatient medication as not given on a mobile
You can’t do this on a mobile.
Recording an outpatient medication as not given on a desktop

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select next to the name of the correct appointment.

Select Give for the medication you were unable to give.

Select Unable to give.

Select the reason the medication was not given.

If the medication was not available, select Drug unavailable.

If the patient refused the medication, select Patient refused.

If the patient refused the medication because they were vomiting or experiencing nausea, select Patient vomiting/experiencing nausea.

If you don’t have access to the selected route, select No access available.
If the reason you were unable to give the medication is not shown, choose the next best reason.

Add notes.

Select Submit.
If a medication is not given, the medication retains the due status so Give is still shown. In the events log, you can view the medication was unable to be given in the administration events.
