Ordering medications

You can order medications from the hospital pharmacy.

Ordering medications on a mobile

  1. From your patient list, select a patient.

  2. From Chart, select a prescription.

  3. Select Order and enter a comment.

You cannot cancel an ordered medication on a mobile. You must use Nervecentre EPMA for desktop to cancel an order.

Ordering medications on a desktop

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

  2. Select the name of a medication to view the events log.

    • From Meds > , select the medication name.

      Or

    • From Clinical > Current Medications, select the medication name.

  3. Select Order medicine.

  4. Enter notes and confirm.

  5. View the events log.

    • From Meds > , select the medication name.

      Or

    • From Clinical > Current Medications, select the medication name.

    The order and any notes entered are displayed under Orders.

You can also order medications from the MAR. Select next to the medication name.

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

  2. To cancel an order, select the medication, select Cancel order, and add notes as needed.
