Managing inpatient visits

You can view and manage a patient's visits from Patient Detail > Patient admin > Show pathways > Inpatient. This includes inpatient visits, visits as a ward attender, visits to an assessment area, visits to SDEC Same Day Emergency Care. These areas aim to complete treating patients without a hospital admission or overnight stay. These areas don't have a four hour target., and visits to a virtual ward.

You can:

• Edit and cancel a visit

• Record the outcome of an inpatient visit

• Add and edit ward stays

• Add and edit bed transfers in a ward stay

• Add and edit consultant episodes

• Add and edit specialty changes in a consultant episode
