Recording the status of pre-op
preop status, pre op status
You can record the status of pre-op from Patient Detail > Patient admin > Show pathways > Procedures, or from a form. This allows you to inform other users that a patient is fit for surgery.
Recording the status of pre-op on a mobile
You can't do this on a mobile.
Recording the status of pre-op on a desktop

Pre-op is in progress. |

Complete - Fit |
Pre-op is complete, and the patient is fit to proceed. |

Pre-op is complete, and the procedure should not go ahead. |

Expired |
Pre-op was completed, but is no longer valid. |
Updating the status of pre-op from Patient admin

From Inpatients, Outpatients, or Theatres > Patient Detail, search for a patient.

From Patient Detail > Patient admin > Show pathways > Procedures > Scheduled and Waiting List Procedures, select a procedure.

Select Set Pre-Op Status.

Select a status.

If you select Complete - Fit, select the date this status expires on.
To search for a date a specific number of days, weeks, months, or years in the future, enter a number followed by d for days, w for weeks, m for months, or y for years. For example, if you enter 6m, Nervecentre shows you a date 6 months in the future.
Updating the status of pre-op from a form
You can update the status of pre-op from some forms if they contain the field Pre-op Status.

From Inpatients, Outpatients, or Theatres > Patient Detail, search for a patient.

Select Procedures.

Double-click on a procedure.

From the list on the left, select a form that contains the field Pre-op Status.

From the form, select Pre-op Status.

Select a status.

If you select Complete - Fit, select the date this status expires on.
