Booking a cross-specialty appointment

You can book cross-specialty appointments. For example, the patient had their initial appointment, and needs an appointment with another specialty. You can:

  • Create an internal referral to the other specialty

If the other specialty accepts the referral, they book an appointment for the patient.

  • Book an appointment with that specialty

Some specialties allow you to book an appointment without an internal referral. These are called cross-specialty appointments.
