Transferring a patient between beds in your own ward or area

As a clinician, within your own area, you can transfer patients between beds without requesting a bed.

Bed spaces can contain more than one patient. For example, you have a patient, Romeo Green, who has been discharged and physically left the hospital, but has not yet been discharged from PAS Patient Administration System. A system used to record all or a subset of patient registrations, admissions, transfers and discharges. Contains a master patient index. This records the patient’s demographics and inpatient/outpatient visits. Can be involved in appointment booking. Nervecentre can do the job of the PAS but has a much greater functionality than a regular PAS.. You can move another patient into the bed space occupied by Romeo Green, allowing you to use the bed and update PAS later.
