Requesting beds and managing your bed requests
You can request a bed for patients who need to be cared for in a different location in your hospital. The information in the request updates the information shown in Bed Management > Manage Beds.
Within your own area, you can transfer patients between beds without requesting a bed.

Requesting beds and managing your bed requests on a mobile

From your patient list, select a patient.

From Notes, select ▼.

From Note Profiles, select Bed Request.

Select

From Bed Request, select Not specified > Requested.

If the patient has specific needs, for example, monitoring, or a side room, from Bed Requirements, select Not specified, then select an option.

From Specialty Required, select Not specified, then select a specialty from the list.

- From your patient list, select a patient.

From Notes, select ▼.

From Note Profiles, select Bed Request.

To cancel the bed request, select Bed Request, then select No.
Or, to edit the bed request, select Bed Requirements, and edit the information.

To edit the specialty, select Specialty Required, then select a specialty from the list.

From Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Clinical.

Find the clinical notes summary, and change the clinical note profile to Bed Request.

Select Bed Request, then select Requested.

If the patient has specific needs, for example, monitoring, or a side room, select Bed Requirements, then select an option.

Select Specialty Required, then select a specialty from the list.
