Stopping prescriptions

1. From Patient list > (select a patient) > Chart > select the prescription.

   

2. Select  > Stop prescription.

   

3. Select a reason and enter a comment.

4. The prescription is removed from the medication chart and cannot be administered.

1. You can stop one or more prescriptions for the same reason, from Meds >  > Current, and selecting the medications.

2. Select Stop prescription.

4. You can add Notes as free text. If a prescription you are stopping is reconciled to an arrival medicine, the text entered in Notes will pull through to the discharge letter.

5. Select Stop prescription.

When a medication is stopped, it no longer appears as a current medication or on the MAR.

1. To stop a medicine, select Meds > .

2. Select a medication.

3. Select Stop prescription.

   

4. Select a reason.

If a medication was prescribed without a duration or end date, prescribers can set an end date from the MAR.

1. Select Meds > .

2. Find the medication.

3. Select  under the date you want the course to finish.

4. Select Set as last dose for course.

5. Enter a reason.
