Cancelling a PIFU pathway

When you record the administrative outcome on an appointment or another activity, you can put the patient on a PIFU Patient Initiated Follow-Up. Allows patients and their carers the flexibility to arrange their follow-up appointments as and when they need them. pathway.

PIFU pathways can have different lengths. They can range between 1 month to indefinite. During that time, you can book PIFU appointments for the patient.

You can manually cancel a patient's PIFU pathway if the patient has agreed you can cancel it. This means you can no longer book PIFU appointments for the patient.

Cancelling a PIFU pathway on a mobile

You can't do this on a mobile.

Cancelling a PIFU pathway on a desktop

1. From  Outpatients > Patient Detail, search for the patient.

2. From Patient Detail > Patient admin > Show pathways > PIFU > Active PIFU Entries, select a PIFU pathway.

3. Select Cancel PIFU.

4. Select who cancelled the PIFU pathway.

5. Select the reason they cancelled the PIFU pathway.

6. Enter any notes.

7. Select Confirm.

   The PIFU pathway moves to Completed and Cancelled PIFU Entries.
