Cancelling orders for outpatients

You can cancel pathology orders that have not been completed or collected.

This depends on your organisation and third-party software, for example, your pathology software.

Cancelling orders on a mobile

You can't do this on a mobile.

Cancelling orders on a desktop
  1. From  Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Investigations.
  2. To cancel an order, select .

  3. Select the order you want to cancel.

  4. Select to cancel the order.

    If is unavailable, you can't cancel the order.

  5. Enter a reason for cancelling the order.

  6. Select Confirm.

  7. To close the information pane, mouseover between the panes and select .

    The order status updates to Cancelled.
