Cancelling orders

Depending on your organisation, permissions, and third-party software, for example, your pathology software, you can cancel orders that have not been completed or collected.

Cancelling orders on a mobile

  1. From your patient list, select a patient.

  2. From Investigations, select Orders.

  3. Select an order.

  4. Select to delete the order.

    If is not displayed, you can't cancel the order.

  5. Enter a reason for cancelling the order.

  6. Select Confirm.

    The order shows as Cancelled.

Cancelling orders on a desktop

  1. From  Inpatients > Patient List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Investigations.

  2. To view orders, select .

  3. Select the order you want to cancel.

  4. To cancel the order, select > Cancel.

    If Cancel is unavailable, you can't cancel the order.

  5. Enter a reason for cancelling the order.

  6. Select Confirm.

  7. To close the information pane, mouseover between the panes and select .

    The order status updates to Cancelled.
