Changing outpatient prescriptions
You can modify outpatient prescriptions before the medications are dispensed.
If the medication is being dispensed by the hospital pharmacy, you can modify the prescription if the prescription has not yet been approved by the pharmacist in the dispensary.
You can add notes to prescriptions.
Changing outpatient prescriptions on a mobile
You can’t change outpatient prescriptions on a mobile.
Changing outpatient prescriptions on a desktop

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select the medication’s name to view the events log.

Select Modify prescription.

Edit the fields.

Complete all mandatory fields.
Mandatory fields are marked .

Select Modify.
If a user who is not the original prescriber modifies the prescription, the prescriber's name is updated in the events log.

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select the medication’s name to view the events log.

Select Modify prescription.

From Instructions, enter instructions.

Select Modify.

From Outpatients > Clinic List > double-click on a patient's name > Patient Detail, select Meds.

Select the medication’s name to view the events log.

Select Add note.

Enter your note.

Select Save.
