About prescribing
You can prescribe on a mobile or desktop. On a mobile, prescribe from the MAR Medicines Administration Record, also called drug chart: a list of all medications prescribed and administered.. On a desktop, select .
About prescribing on a mobile
Start a new prescription from Patient list > (select a patient) > Chart > .
You can prescribe in four ways: searching, scanning, adding from groups, and adding from previous prescriptions.
About prescribing on a desktop
You can prescribe from > Clinical pages > Patient List > (select a patient) > Patient Detail > Meds > .

Search for a medication.

Select or enter additional information, for example, dose, frequency, or indication.

Validate prescriptions by acknowledging or actioning any alerts.

Medication is shown on the MAR, and can then be administered.

To open Prescribe, from Meds, select .

When Prescribe opens it shows a list of current prescriptions.
Current |
View draft and current prescriptions. Prescribe, modify, pause, and stop medications. Add medications to TTO. View pharmacy MAR, or drug chart, reviews. |
Stopped |
View stopped prescriptions for the current episode. |
Planned |
Add planned medications prior to admission. View planned medications. |
Arrived on |
Add arrival medications. View arrival medications. View arrival meds pharmacy form. Reconcile drugs. Complete medication history. |
TTO |
View TTO/TTO status. Modify/ add TTO details. Create an empty TTO. Cancel a TTO. |
